Otolaryngology

The adhesive composition “Sulfacrylate” is used in otolaryngology to improve the functional result of the intervention and reduce the number of postoperative complications.

Medical glue “Sulfacrylate” is used for fixing fragments of the cartilaginous or bone skeleton of the septum to the sheets of mucoperichondria and mucoperioste, for reconstruction of the septal framework during septoplasty.

In addition, Sulfacrylate showed its effectiveness in augmentation of the back and the tips of the nose, in fixation of septal, lath, and expanding autografts during functional rhinoseptoplasty.

Before applying Sulfacrylate, the wound surface should be thoroughly dried. A few drops of glue are applied to the formed autograft and it is pressed against the tissues in the operated area for 20-30 seconds.
